WORKS FOR MAINTENANCE OF BUILDING CARAFA PAWNSHOP IN NAPLES

In the historical center of Naples COEDIL SUD has performed numerous maintenance works for buildings and monuments of historical importance and a certain cachet - art. These include carrying out works for the palace and Carafa Chapel pawnshop in Via San Biagio dei Librai in 1995 on the so-called "Spaccanapoli", at different times as required by the Banco di Napoli SpA owner of the monument. The complex was built between 1597 and 1605 by GB Cavagna on the existing area of the palace of the Dukes Girolamo Carafa d'Andria. The Monte di Pieta, Counter-typical institution, was founded a charity to combat usury by donating non-profit loans. The Renaissance facade of the chapel is divided into three zones by four pilasters with Ionic capitals; the sides of the marble statues of Charity and Security P. Bernini, on top of the gable contains the Pieta of Michelangelo Naccherino. Inside there are many works of art, among them the marble monument of Cardinal Ottavio Acquaviva di Cosimo Fanzago.
